Strap Question
Dear esteemed forum members,
A friend of mine bought a "customized" rolex deepsea back in 2007 when that seemed like a good idea to him. This is black DLC and has welded bars (not spring bars) that is for a NATO strap. He wants a thicker strap (makes sense for this hockey puck), such as the nylon fabric strap offered on the Omega Dark Side watch.
Anyhow... any suggestions for how to solve this
- will a custom strap dude sew one onto the watch?
- Have someone re-fit the watch for a spring bar? (i worry about the DLC surviving)
I can't think of anything other than those two options and just getting rid of the darn thing.
