New Model: Vacheon Constantin Patrimony Contemporaine Small Model

Oct 11, 2011,08:18 AM

Classic yet contemporary. Understated and refined. Moderate and yet sensual. The new Patrimony Contemporaine small model reveals its undeniable assets in an engagingly natural manner expressed through pink or white gold. Its femininity beats to the rhythm of a mechanical heart entirely crafted by Vacheron Constantin, hand-wound Calibre 1400, bearing the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva. This new creation lends its own unique aura of timeless charm to the feminine line from the Manufacture.

The slender 6.7 mm watch profile radiates purity and sheer elegance accentuated by a rim of brilliant-cut diamonds. The exquisite grace exuded by the Patrimony Contemporary small model watch is truly captivating. Time blossoms within the 36 mm diameter case with its perfectly mastered curves. The pared-down simplicity of the dial provides ample proof that true beauty will always shine without any need for ostentation.

The gold case frames an opaline silver-toned dial on which time pursues its perpetually renewed journey. Long applied hour-markers punctuating a beaded minute circle in 18-carat gold create a delightful visual rhythmical effect. The pursuit of simplicity is also conveyed through the gentle sweep of the hands reflecting the elegance of traditional watchmaking characterised by refined craftsmanship and a timeless, eminently horological spirit.

Beneath this apparent sobriety lies a prestigious mechanical hand-wound movement. The Manufacture Vacheron Constantin Calibre 1400 echoes a design imbued with authenticity. Heir to expertise born in 1755 and passed on from generation to generation, this movement is revealed through the transparent caseback. Its technical sophistication is matched by the entirely hand-crafted finishing entirely performed according to the highest traditional standards and meeting the most demanding Fine Watchmaking criteria. The flat surfaces are adorned with Côtes de Genève and the sharp edges are chamfered and hand-polished, as are the flat-headed screws.

The Patrimony Contemporaine small model clearly embodies the majesty of true elegance. Its supreme femininity is unequivocally asserted and proves itself entirely worthy of the noble heritage cultivated by a House founded over 255 years ago.

Vacheron Constantin has yet to officially announce the small Malte model that is in the left, but it is available (and absolutely gorgeous). I am preparing a short article and photo essay of these three watches. Please stay tuned. Bill...

"That's not bad at all" from SFWIBW, which is pretty much the best response to anything released as a a ladies watch this year! A

perfect mens watch

The size at 36mm and the design do not lend itself to a ladies watch. Putting some discreet diamonds around the caseband doesn't elevate ti to a ladies watch. I'd have thought that it would make a very nice mens dress watch. Perfect size and the diamonds ...

like johnswatch1: no need for a sex change!

Now that is what I was hoping for so long: a 36 mm Patrimony. I am very curious to see it at the AD and to see wether it might work also as a mens watch. Judging by the pictures only: very likely. Many thanks for the news. Regards Moritz
