Vacheron Constantin boutique special editions in Singapore

Few days ago I made a trip to the VC Singapore boutique to look at some VC boutique special editions. I only have 1 VC watch, my Traditionelle in rose gold and I thought if I want a 2nd VC it should be a boutique special edition or limited edition to be more "special" smile

Hence I started my quest in the Singapore boutique.

The VC Singapore boutique has a pretty good selection of boutique specials and here are some photos to share.
Ranging from the magnificent Metiers d'Art pieces, amongst which I especially like the LE 12 pieces year of the Horse watch (becos I am born in the year of the Horse). The enameling work and crafting of the horse in rose gold is extremely impressive even though I find such a watch will sit in my safe more than on my wrist as it's very ornamental. Looking at such a watch under the loop made me appreciate the finest craftsmanship from VC and I could appreciate why the watch is priced accordingly. These watches are so limited they are selling out very fast in Asia from what I heard from the VC staff.

The other boutique edition VC I like was a much more simple watch, a rose gold black dial VC Patrimony. Pure elegance yet some fun with the black dial (which goes very well with the rose gold). Unfortunately l felt it was a tad big for my small wrist being at 40mm and very flat (the Horse watch was also 40mm but being much thicker it sat better on my wrist somehow). Feels like a "pancake" on my small wrist. Sigh I really like this Patrimony otherwise....

My quest for a 2nd VC continues and I shall be patient smile

Meanwhile some eye candies to share! smile
and thank you Jaslyn from VC Singapore boutique for letting me try on these lovely boutique specials.

Cheers
Robin

and thank you for sharing your impressions of those boutiques only pieces. The rose gold black dial 81180 is gorgeous and elegant. Did you capture any more photos of the gekko? Bill

Not this time Bill....

Were you tempted by the Horse ?? VC was smart in using apertures for an enamel (or artistic) piece because the center (i.e. focus) of a dial would not be "distracted" by the hour and minute hands. A small downside is that parts of the enamel are cut out. ...

Glad you like them Gordon!

Actually no i was not tempted by the VC Horse to be honest (not that I can afford it too!). I pretty much concluded I won't go for Horse watches already. I prefer my watches to be less ornamental - I discovered this personal preference as I was looking fo...
