Just a photo to mark a 4-year anniversary

It is hard to believe that my love affair with the 1921 began four years ago. Well, really it began long before that, but consummation took place four years ago almost to the day. ;-) I remain as passionate as ever about the American 1921. That watch sent...

Happy Anniversary

Amazing that four years has passed already (need to read more Hawking to confirm certain suspicions about time vs age), but very thankful that beautiful nugget on your wrist brought you into the family :-)

Thanks, Dean!

You have been and continue to be a great resource of information and inspiration on my VC, and especially my V&C journey. Thank you for your generosity and your friendship. Best, respo

I well remember your love for that one, my friend.

Happy to see that it is lasting love. All the best, Nicolas

I was very public in my affection for the 1921

I feel we have much to catch up on. Yes, four years flew by. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I strapped on the 1921 for the first time. But so glad I did. Best, respo

It was a good decision to buy it several years ago...

I agree

Buying the 1921 when I did is one of the few smart moves I have made in this hobby. And it was smart for several reasons, at least for me. It remains a watch I continue to enjoy and feel passionate about even now several years later. Best, respo

Time flies! Thankfully they are all happy times with your 1921 timing it :)

You and I both collected the cal. 4400 movement -- our respective watches just package that movement a little differently. ;-) Both beauties, though, I think we would both agree. I am so glad to count you among my watch buddies, Robin. I always enjoy read...

Respo you are killing me :)

I remember your buying this one quite well....

 By: WHL : December 6th, 2014-07:45
and the process was rather drawn out! Dominic sent you a colorful text as I recall! ;-) Bill

With me, Bill, the process is always drawn out

 By: respo : December 8th, 2014-06:30
...as you well know! ;-) And the color of Dominic's message came from your words, which he merely reported back to me. But you got the message across even from Florida, which I where I think the two of you were. Well, it is been quite an adventure for me ...

I hope you get one, too, Damjan

It is a wonderful VC to own, wear and treasure. If I could have only one modern VC, well, this might be the one I would choose. In fact, I did choose it four years ago with exactly that strategy in mind. But I mistakenly thought I could restrict myself to...

As we say in my neck of wood

I wait eagerly anticipating which VC will be your first. ;-) Between the 1921 and the Saltarello, I am not sure which one I would recommend first. The 1921 is still in production (although I kind of wish VC would end its production sooner rather than late...

I think your advice is good....

By: blomman Mr Blue : December 8th, 2014-12:54
And I would be very happy to join you here! Twice I have missed the Saltarello due to bad timing... :( But as they say, third time is ....! Best, my friend Blomman
