Some good points, particularly the solid vs. open case back. I never thought of the "secret" inside but it makes sense, but I will admit to liking an open back to admire the workmanship.

There are some movements, not only VC, which are exquisite and should regularly be seen and admired as much as the dial and case. And then there is something like the Malte Perpetual Chrono with a half-hunter back. I would hate to miss the beautiful engra...
