[SiHH 2015] New "Harmony" collection for the 260th anniversary
By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-03:03
VC has just unveil a new collection called "Harmony" with different complications, in limited editions to celebrate the 260the anniversary of the brand. It should be a very fine finishing among the brand's offer, together with engravings on the movement w...

...Vacheron creating a truly exciting and beautiful chronograph calibre and (finally!!!) starting to use free-sprung balances again (other than tourbillons and the 1120)! It is the curb-pin regulator that frustrates me on many current VC's that I otherwis...
I indeed imagine this PR won't please everyone.
By: Mark in Paris : January 23rd, 2015-02:13
It is quite unseen, positionned very low and with an unusual style, hence I think it will not please everyone. Personnally, I find it smooth (the circle is nice) and I think I like it. Even if it could be better without. It seems that we see much more PR ...
Some very nice and interesting novelties shown.
By: small-luxury-world : January 19th, 2015-04:07
My favorite detail (yet) is the design of the column wheel - chronograph. My favorite novelty is the Split Second (for several reasons), which I really would love to see in the metal. Bravo VC, looks like a strong year! Oliver
Yes, new but with limited number...
By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-08:31
...for now at least. I don't know if it will remain limited and disappear or become a regular line. I guess if it becomes one day "regular" then it won't be as decorated as it is... Cheers. Mark
"it won't be as decorated as it is"
By: small-luxury-world : January 19th, 2015-08:37
So, less "inspired" by brands from Saxony and more Calvnistic ... ;-) Anyway, the engravings add spice and I like them.

By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-08:55
I'm usually not a big fan of very heavy decorations but I really find it looks great and completly coherent in these watches. The limited editions really worth it indeed :)
I missed it :p
By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-08:32
you're in the gods secret circle Moritz ;) Cheers, Mark
speechless
By: dsgalaxy1 : January 19th, 2015-04:54
the peripheral rotor is amazing and it's a clever choice, so we can look at the superb caliber. I think VC has set a new level for the other competitors
A good union of both worlds
By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-08:33
I like automatic and here it doesn't hide the beauty of the movement. A very fine line indeed. Cheers, Mark
So do I :)
By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-09:57
Difficult to launch a new line, here it is a success for me at least. Cheers, Mark

Piece looks very interesting! :) Thank you for sharing. Best Blomman
You're welcome Blomman
By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-08:36
Yes I think also that the chronos are the more interesting to me. The Tourbillon is quite unbalanced in this dial. Cheers, Mark
Simply beautiful!
By: sham1 : January 19th, 2015-06:05
I am very curious to know the size of these novelties because if they are not too large, I think they will be a real hit!! Sham
Excited for more details!
By: jmpTT : January 19th, 2015-07:16
The split second chronograph has the makings of a stunner, although those cut-out numbers just might not be to my taste. I love the choice of the peripheral rotor and the use of the Maltese cross on the movement. The regular monopusher is, likewise, to my...

Let's wait to see the pictures from our fellow travelers but it starts very well :) Cheers, Mark
Don't mean to be negative but somehow their split sec chrono
By: Clueless_Collector : January 19th, 2015-10:54
looks like Patek's 5950 and the Pulsation....similar concept to PP's 175th 5975 line.... I tried to paste a screen capture photo in other post but it did not show up. Anyway, for an important 260th anniversary event, I wish there are some originality, not...

By: cisco : January 19th, 2015-12:03
still have to wait for more detailed reviews but at first, I think Vacheron did a bold move with an interesting shape and dial. We were discussing with Nicolas that Vacheron is for us a "romantic" brand, at the opposite of simplistic and rigourous other b...

By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-13:34
Can I ask you precisions about the "olive button" thing please ? I don't know what this is. Otherwise I'm very happy too to see the direction VC has taken here (the plit second is my favorite, dial side but also movement side). The only dial I have a prob...

this a photo of Matts here is an olive pusher, for me it's ovious on a cushion shape, very classy, it would have completed the watch marvellously. The shape "oblongue" is this one which is imho less elegant in that case But the worse detail is the "guide"...
I see....
By: Mark in Paris : January 19th, 2015-13:58
I indeed find this olive pusher quite nice as it matches well the cushion shape case. Maybe people may also find the oblongue one more comfortable to activate? As for the guide, it is not something I usually like either, except with round pushers like in ...
You're right, I forgot this one
By: Mark in Paris : January 20th, 2015-07:47
In the history of many traditional brands there have been somewhere cushion, rectangular or square shaped cases. They come back from time to time. I remember seeing on Purists this watch that I really appreciated, thanks for the reminder Magnus. Cheers, M...

Overall, these pieces are terrific--thin, wonderfully executed and decorated movements (could do without the gilt on the balance cock, frankly--seems gimmicky), and gorgeous cases and dials. But I feel like I'd have to be wearing a black suit, top hat, a ...

I actually knew of somebody who wore a monocle in high school and he was indeed subjected to some teasing. Some environments require more conformity than others. The MSRPs dictate that these watches will be, by and large, bought by older men. I can't see ...

By: sham1 : January 23rd, 2015-03:36
The wrist size and the size of the case unfortunately do not always match and I am led to believe that the size could be 40mm which although may be fine for Europeans and Americans will be not the best fit for the typical smaller Asian wrist. {6776668} Au...

By: Mark in Paris : January 23rd, 2015-08:04
Well, I saw one or two wristshots showing it may be a little big (to be confirmed in live). So an appealing design but does it wear good? Especially with a square case, something I'm not used to wearing. That's is the lonly reasons I think it would not "f...

Very nice line indeed. Nice to see the "Phoenix" been reborn;). This "cushion" shape case is superb! I especially love the chronographs, the Split Second is my favourite for few reasons; the mouvement, its architecture, its finish and its ingenious rotor ...

Is one of the best made in the last 50 years. A stunning beauty from every point of view. Unfortunately its price is as big as the beauty of the watch itself. Just insane, in my honest opinion. I hope it'll be a "regular" edition in the future. Regards
