Many times I’m tempted to get that same Caymus to try but I’m not good with alcohol…most expensive bottle I paid for my own home consumption is $40-$50, and I am not sure if I will be able to taste the difference with those Petrus which cost $x000?
I know the same can be said for watches and some designer clothes, handbags but those seem tangible and easier to measure….wine tasting is hard to measure, a bit subjective but I’m really clueless in this situation.
Are those high end wines really can be 100x more delicious? Someone can shed some light?

I am not sure. I mostly drink in the same 40-50 dollar range. My friend brought the steaks, he just bought a whole cow, and received from the butcher yesterday. I always have a few bottles of caymus around for guests who drink nice wine themselves. Otherw...

I don't drink enough aged wine to really know the differences. Knowing my personality, I want to avoid another hobby🤣
It will still be good...
...but a quality cabernet will get even better with a bit more time : ) It's not easy, but I try to keep my 'good' cabs for 8-10 years or so before breaking them out...
Well...there's always hi-fi, fountain pens and vintage race cars.
