Had this trusty companion along for the trip (Unfortunately, didnโ€™t realize I forgot to advance the date!) C by Romain Gauthier: Bovet 1822 19Thirty Blue Meteorite: Girard-Perregaux x Wempe Laureato Chronograph 42mm: Chopard L.U.C Tourbillion (Unsure of o...

Wow, you had a busy weekend. Iโ€™m surprised you found time to eat!

Thanks for the great series of pictures. Did you have any favourites from the watches you tried? Did you get to see the new IWC Portuguese perpetual calendars? They have piqued my interest. All the best, Jon

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ I made sure to find time to eat, Jon!

My favorites are the 1815 Up/Down, the CdV 1955, and the Reverso Tribute Chronograph, which is borderline almost too long for my wrist. Itโ€™s also quite thick. I love that Laureato Chrono as well. But it wears large due to the manner in which the lugs flar...

The CdV 1955 is absolutely stunning in the flesh, min ami!

I never realized the touches of red and the sky blue color on the dial. Theyโ€™re very subtle, but work quite remarkably well! The 1815 Up/Down has been a dream for too long. I may have to address this! Merci, mon ami!๐Ÿฅ‚

Question on the CdV...

Is the minutes chapter ring ice blue or was that due to the lighting in the shop? Here's a picture from the VC website that shows it's white: ...

Perhaps, you raise a critical point, my friend!

I have two photos, which are in boutiques with the plastic still on them. This one is from February โ€˜20. The chapter ring appears to be that ice blue with the seconds numbers in red: This other photo is from February of this year and you still see that ch...

Is there even a platinum version?

The VC website is only showing pink gold and steel... ...

Best look on your wrist here was ALS 1815 up/down

What a fun quest! Question - did you see the portugieser 40 auto in horizon blue? That has been on my mind a lot. I like the 40mm and big sub seconds. I wish a little thinner (11.8 IIRC)- but I guess same as a gmt๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ the 1921 always looks good too. ...

Yes! Both IWC Boutique had the Portugieser 40mm in Horizon Blue in their display cases.

But, like I mentioned to Jon, I was laser-focused on seeing the new Portugieser Automatics. I absolutely love the 1815 Up/Down. That one has been tugging at my heart for years now. This may be the year to make it a reality . . . Thanks, my friend!๐Ÿฅ‚

The 40 is an automatic ! ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I know you mean the classic up/down 7 day power reserve. Interesting the duometre and portugieser is already out... that's how it should be ๐Ÿ‘

Yes, I should have been more specific - the Portugieser Automatic 42!๐Ÿ˜‰

It was nice to see the new iterations from IWC and JLC already on display. Other brands should follow suit!

Amazing post!!!!

Posts like this always make my wallet quiver. That JlC Polaris Chronograph with the silver dial is a highlight. Thanks for sharing.๐Ÿค™

Your wallet and my wallet!๐Ÿ˜

That Polaris is stunning! Cheers, my friend!๐Ÿฅ‚

Were there any that sang to you more than the others? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for sharing Mark!

There are two that are really tugging at the heart, Jesse!

 By: Mach : May 7th, 2024-00:12
1.) The 1815 Up/Down: 2.) The Cornes de Vache 1955: Hopefully, I can stay disciplined this year and make one of these a possibility! Have a great week, Jesse!๐Ÿฅ‚ ...

Two fine beauties

Thereโ€™s not really a poor choice here. Iโ€™ve owned that exact 1815 u/d and it is otherworldly!

I was thinking of buying the same bracelet...

If it's okay with you, could you share how much it cost?

Thank you for this amazing photo reportage my friend!

In Boston and found a Laureato 38 that worked on my wrist Still working on the color, guess Iโ€™m old school. (And old) ...

Congrats, my friend!!!๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿพ

There are two ADs in Boston and they each had one available the last time I visited. I absolutely love their collaboration with Wempe. That would have been an easy decision for me if they could make it 40mm! Enjoy this beauty!๐Ÿฅ‚
