Great shot, of a great watch! Now you got to work on the infamous "wrist shot." LOL! Cheers, TM

It's already "on FedEx vehicle for delivery" :)

Here's a hint: I was in Dresden last week.

OK, here's a wristshot

 By: felipe_ : March 8th, 2007-06:10
I'll do another one when the watch arrives...

OK, I won't tell you

 By: felipe_ : March 8th, 2007-06:55
But that's what I got...

Holy cow, congrats Felipe. . .

 By: Jack Forster : March 8th, 2007-15:03

That's what I call a dress watch :-)

 By: Doc : March 8th, 2007-08:12
Felipe, Your first watch shot is just marvellous! I'm sure it creeps under all french cuffs without problems, and also sure that you don't feel you wearing it! I like the white dial, but I would have preferred a little more accentuated bracelet. Anyhow, m...

LOL, thanks Doc :) (nt)

...

This watch has grown on me...

 By: WHL : March 8th, 2007-17:04
and I would be happy with one in my collection. Mr Torres, CEO of VC, has hinted that design elements of the 222 may come back in a future model. Bill

Love the 222...

Its one of my favorite sport watches of all time. Its one of those often forgotten watches from the 70's and 80's. It rarely gets the attention in watch articles or on forums that say a Royal Oak, Nautilus, or IWC Jumbo SL Ingenuir get, (maybe because it ...

You are right ...

 By: lolago : March 9th, 2007-08:50
... Dino, and I think it has nothing to envy to the other cousins...

Gerald ...is that you???

 By: Dino944 : March 9th, 2007-10:30
Wow, with a collection containing a 222, a Royal Oak, a Nautilus, and an SL Jumbo...I was beginning to think we were visited by the one and only Gerald Genta! Fantastic collection, and your 222 is outstanding! Best regards, Dino944

I'm just a humble collector ...

I have never seen this model before!

 By: patrick_y : January 6th, 2013-15:32
Interesting watch the 222... Anything else we can learn more about it? Was it designed by Genta (as the Royal Oak and Nautilus were?) and the IWC Ingeneur, never noticed it was so akin to these other three.

Quirky bracelet, but sits on the wrist very well (much better than the slightly smaller, new AP RO's I've tried on). Hi to everyone!...

The quality of my scan...

 By: MikiJ : March 8th, 2007-06:02
will show why I am so reluctant to do so... oh well one of my favorites. As most of you know the VC is the most comfortable. Miki...

As usual...

 By: MikiJ : March 8th, 2007-06:32
Forgot to add the words "deployment bracelet". It's hell to get old. miki

I like better the new version of ref.47200,

 By: JWU : March 8th, 2007-13:34
which has VC logo and name at nine. Better dial display, IMHO. Greetings, Jian

OK, one pic.

I have been wearing my Cartier Pasha 950 Chronograph. It has a platinum bezel, charcoal color dial and an F.Piguet 1185 as the base movement. Doesn't have the gold rotor of as found on the Overseas or the AP RO Chrono, but you can see it through the saphi...

Thanks for sharing! Piguet 1185 is so nice a movement that ...

 By: JWU : March 9th, 2007-10:14
should be shown! It seems that Cartier has done a good work on the movement. Do you have a macro shot of it? I'd appreciate it very much. Greetings, Jian

Hi Jian,

 By: Dino944 : March 9th, 2007-10:43
I don't have a macro shot of the movement yet, but I'll see if I can get some good photos of the movement this weekend. Believe it or not, my wife has better watch photographing skills than I do so I usually need some assistance from her. Best regards, Di...

Hi Dino,

 By: JWU : March 9th, 2007-15:53
Thanks a lot! I've never openned my Les Historiques automatic chronograph, which houses also the same base movement. I'll do someday by taking it to a watchmaker. I'm always curious to see the various finish that this movement has received from several br...
