A few additional pictures of a musical beauty.

Oct 12, 2011,06:34 AM

We were lucky to fall on a Vacheron Minute Repeater, during our Parisian Gathering, and I posted a quick pîcture of it.

Here are some additional pictures of one of the most appealing Minute Repeater, at least according to my tastes.

We are far from the latest big watches unveiled these very last years, with a normal size for this kind of watches ( circa 38 mm ).

The teardrops lugs are the summum of Elegance and Class.

The two tone dial is as sober as sublime, minimalist.

As for the movement, the pictures are worth a thousand words. Nicely decorated and finished:

The sound of this beauty is a promise which needs a small setting, though, especially the minute gong, to reach this rich, deep, and intense musicality.

The kind of experience you'll never forget.

Best,

Nicolas.

This minute repeater with the tear drop lugs recalls some of the vintage repeaters that the brand created in very limited numbers and which the reputation of having the best sound of all traditionally designed minute repeater wristwatches. I love the fact...

That's a watch!

on my wrist Unfortunately the sound was not that good ... :-( 37mm sheer beauty, but at least a strong need for a service. Oliver

Agreed. Even if it was even better ....

on MY wrist. I still remember the skeleton variation I had the pleasure to discover and hear some three years ago at the VC Boutique in Geneva... The Skeleton is still my favourite, but this one is a very close second. Best, Oliver. Nicolas.

That's a dream

This VC reminds me of the AP Grande et Petite Sonnerie in the deceptively "simple" design and execution of such a complicated timepiece. How lucky you are to have handled one and heard this beauty. So beautiful and so subtle. Thanks for sharing this with ...

A superb time piece, a kind of horological Mecca for every watch lover.

When you're in front of such a piece, you lose all notuon of time and reality. a great moment, indeed. Thanks for reading, my friend. Nicolas;

You are indeed a lucky man!

.. to have seen (unfortunately not listened to, what a miss !) such a piece, Even more so, that quite unreachable at present.. This would be the piece of MR, I guess I might fall for, such elegant balance, such 'savoir vivre', mesmerizing the dial and the...

There are two ways to see the Minute Repeater, IMO.

 By: amanico : October 13th, 2011-07:40
A classic way, sober, discrete, elegant, top class: This one and the Skeleton version. A more modern interpretation of this classic complication: The JLC Mastere Minute Repeater. I love both of them, and would love to get bone in the firsrt category, too....

This is something else.

Great shots Nico. I googled this and as much as I like it, I can;t afford it. But its a repeater and I should have known that LOL.

Like its skeleton sister, I find it rather cool to have watches

 By: amanico : October 13th, 2011-07:38
Which will remain in the Dream List Category. Unobtainable watches, to feed our dreams. Was its value a surprise for you? It is a Vacheron, and a very elegant one, so, no unexpected deceptions about its value. Best, Nicolas.

Is this current production? [nt]

one of the greatest Vacheron ever

 By: cisco : October 17th, 2011-13:55
The design, the caliber, everything is pure "Vacheron Constantin" spirit. The biggest problem of this watch is its later sister, the skeletonised version. Adding another Vacheron specialty , horology at its best. Dream watches in any case cheers Francois

Agreed on the skeleton Sister. Which is THE VC for me.

 By: amanico : October 17th, 2011-13:59
But this one would make a superb 2d... Best, Nicolas.

"one of the greatest Vacheron ever ..."

Nicolas, this is the apotheosis of time keeping object...

 By: Sandgroper : November 10th, 2012-05:01
In my opinion, although I am not especially a "fan" of minute repeater per se, this epitomises the word minimalist in its purest. This is THE jewel for me, 37mm of pure marvel, recto and what a fabulous, marvellous, sublime verso. Thank you very much for ...

Agreed. This one and its skeleton sister are certainly in the Top 5 of
