A very special LUC Tech twist !

Nov 21, 2010,13:22 PM

Friends who belong to a spanish club of collectors (and they visit us quite frequently) managed to get a special edition from Chopard to celebrate the first anniversary of the club. It is a very special LUC Tech Twist with a DLC case and, to get a harmonious watch, a black plated rhodium movement. In order to enhance the sportive touch of the watch, Chopard used yellow luminova for the indexes, the figures and the hands. A quite unusual combo but it works very well IMHO.  I really like the black micro-rotor.

What do you think about this watch? Are you convinced by this change?  I find it nice even I'm not 100% confident with the durability of the DLC case.

I really like the direction Chopard is taking. A very exciting dial as well as backside. Jason

You know, that's a great watch! The LUC Tech twist was always a unique watch, but for a strange watch, it just wasn't "special" enough, it didn't have that "pop" factor. I believe that with this DLC treatment on the case and the black rhodium treatment on...

Really, cool!

Thanks for sharing, FX! Congratulations to the Spanish club for their anniversary as well. On a side note, I guess this opens up the possibility for a PuristS Anniversary watch by Chopard as well. Intrigued... Alex

I love the blackened rotor and all-over dark scheme...

...of the watch. The yellow and black color combination is very sporty and appropriate to celebrate Spain and their flag colors. In this iteration the watch is quite bold. Congratulations to the Spanish watch enthusiasts who picked up this piece. Cheers, ...

Thank you all for your comments.
