...the 81530 would be perfect WITHOUT diamonds. A lovely size, a view of the cal. 1400 from the rear (like the Malte Grande Classique) and the gorgeous design of the 81180.
Nice topic, Bill. VC does make some lovely watches for women. I know a couple of collectors whose wives also have VCs, and maybe they will join in the conversation.

That photo is one of my favorites. It recalls a very fun event with some great folks, some whom I met for the first time at this event. Several of my very favorite watches are on these wrists. One of the watches annoys me (because it is a reminder of one of my few true horological regrets); I lust after at least two of the watches seen here (seen by me on that day for the first time). I have a variant of another (which I also saw at this event for the first time), which has grown to be one of my absolute favorites, and another, well, that one I miss. Yes, there are a lot of feelings wrapped up in this photo for me. VC really knows how to create a wonderful experience drawing together terrific people. This happened to be a celebration of the Paris Opera Ballet, and in attendance were at least two couples (more I am sure) sporting Vacheron watches on his and her wrists.
