Toledo 1951.
You all know my fabless for rectangular watches, right?
But, I must say that this 1951 version is not my favorite version of the Toledo. I find this one a bit anonymous…
Not sure if it’s because of the other watches I have seen here or if because of the big “empty” dial and wide bezel, this watch doesn’t really get my motor running...
In pictures I adore this watch, but on the wrist…?
Back in 2005 I tried on the Toledo for the first time in my life. Honestly, that was one of the most comfortable watches I have ever tried on my wrist.
Now, almost 10 years later and I don’t even dare to guess how many watches I have tried on later…
Yes, the comfortable feeling is still there!
Such a nice warm feeling, even if almost 9 mm thick, it is like a second skin…
If only my eyes and my wrist could get along…
Ultra-Fine 1955
To me, this is a super elegant watch!
Case is beautiful shaped, love the angled lugs. Moderate size, 36 mm and only 4.13 mm thick.
Now we talking ultra-fine, the Cal 1003 is only 1. 64 mm thick!
And when you see the movement, I don’t need to tell you what seal is has…
And on the wrist – Yeah, talk about a second skin…!
Hope you have enjoyed this Vacheron event as much as I did!
Best
