As part of Seiko's Incredby Specialized Watch Exhibition they created a watch for cooking sukiyaki. The idea for the watch was that it had a recipe programmed into it and would instruct you which ingredient to add next and when it was time to do so. It was based on the movement in the metronome watch and, once started, would point towards the ingredient to add when the time was appropriate. It included dancing hands and a song that would play once you started the recipe. Even the case of the watch was on-theme as it was the same shape as the sukiyaki pot.
Seiko had several interesting watches at this exhibition, including a Pandagraph, but what I found particularly impressive was that all the watches were working models with production fit-and-finish that the public was allowed to handle. Before going, I expected prototypes and mock-ups only.
