Is The hours' small counter a compass?

For an ultra complicated watch, I appreciate the choice of a contemporary design. It is done in a style that is completely distinct from the ultra-complicated pocket watches of the 19th and early 20th century. Thanks for sharing a photo of this spectacula... 

It looks disjointed to me and not harmonious. Almost like it’s trying to hard. Looks thick and bulky also. I’d like to know kw more about it if you can share a model number or name. Thank you.

These watches aren't meant to be practical by any extent of imagination. Their raison d'etre is diametrically opposite - they exist to further the art of high horology, and in that context it excels in every conceivable way....

With a price tag of 4mil $

....not even sure I'd love it if they had made it even smaller.
