and the K920 evolutions (VC 1120/1/2, AP 2120/1/2 and PP 28-255C) are from my uninformed point of view my favorite ultra-thin automatic mouvements,
what a finissage! The homogenic perlage on top and bottom plate, the anglage of every edge, the striped or polished bridges, the polished screws, a display of almost every polishing technique and an excess of 36 Rubies, although i would have loved to see some of the rubies in screwed chatons and a swan neck regulator.
Then the ultra-flatness of 2.4mm and small size of 26mm, the KIF shock protection, then the shock protected escapement wheel (!) altogether make a perfect example for a wonderfully over-engineered movement built by one of the three leading manufacturers before the quartz crisis, and VC had the most appealing dials and cases in my opinion. They don't make'em like that anymore...
Thanks again Bill,
