Thank you Bill

I actually spoke with Vacheron today and the button should change the date regardless of the crown's position. The funny thing is the watch works properly now. I think what happened is somebody must have tried to adjust the date close to the point where the movement changes, which is not good. I change the date when the movement is at 5:30. After the watch has run for several days, whatever was wrong corrected itself. The seller is honest and I a can return the watch if I wish.
Everything works perfectly now and I can change the date at will with the side button - whether the crown is pushed in or pulled out.
What is your professional opinion on the caliber 1127 and the VC ref 47200/1? The case serial number is 788679 and I would interested to know when this watch was made (approximately).
Thank you.
