Vacheron Constantin

I've spent quite some time looking for a watch for my 40th. I've always been really interested in Vacheron Constantin as a brand, particularly their heritage and history, but had to concede that their modern watches remain outside of the spending potentia...  

Great first post and endorsement ;-) Your 6394 appears to be a real beauty, dial looks great and linen bezel crisp. Cal. 1071 is an awesome movement and you'll enjoy the feeling of that massive rotor turning on your wrist! Congratulations on a great entra... 

Congratulations on a great catch. The lugs are beautiful and look like the fore-runners of the Malte design. The indices and the case are superb. And the 1071is a great vintage movement. Here's an article from Dean (tick-talk) you might find interesting ...

Here is a shot of the movement (calibre 1701) that the seller sent me, as I haven't had the case back off yet. And here is a better shot of the "linen" pattern around the bezel. ...  

They really show of the beautiful details of the dial and hands, the bezel and the movement. It is really nice to get some close-ups of a vintage piece like this. Please post more when you have the chance. respo

congratulations on your purchase of a excellent looking watch. I have always thought VC might be the best at dress watches. Personal taste, but I think their three hand watches look better than Patek, AP, Breguet, or any competitor. Simplicity is not alwa...
