I am going to be a bad boy
can't do just single pair, so I have broken this down into the following categories:
1. Two that I own (but i am torn, as to me it is like children, and I love all of them - or I would not have bough them!)
2. Two from the past - that are affordable
3. Two from the past- that are not afforable (to me, that is!)
4. Two from the current collection, (that I could afford)
5. Two from the current collecion (that I can't touch)
6. Two vintage

Your 2 Chronos + the 2 out of sight from the past are 4 very strong aces.
Which would pretty nicely sum VC Art in fine watches. Just add a Mercator and we have exactly the same tastes. ;) Best, Nicolas

I ran our of categories. In retrospect I should have removed the one jump hour and added a Mercator. Thx for your comments and support Best, Joe Ps Don't we just love watches?
The Saltarello is cool, but, IMO, cannot compete with a Mercator.
But this is just my point of view, and the reflect of my indefective love for that watch... Biased? totally! And it is so good! Best, Nicolas.

Get both! If pressed, I agree with you, Nicolas, the Mercator is probably the one to get. It seems the more iconic example of VC's alternative time display watches. And I think the Saltarello is probably less to everyone's taste than the Mercator series. ...

i feel they do not belong as these pair are tribute to vintages. i view the malte chrono, though having art -decor fan lugs, as a more modern interpretation of a VC chrono, with a larger case and for the platinum model ,a beautifully finished blasted dial...
I concur... The Pt is outstanding. The dial is really something, and the
