I guess the beauty is that we are all different!
Sep 02, 2014,18:19 PM
I actually really like the new version. I appreciate a lot what VC have done with this watch, as I constantly travel to timezones which have 30 min time differences (i.e. India), so I appreciate a true world timer than can cover all the timezones (it also adjusts for summer time if I am correct).
That being said, to fit 37 timezones requires a very complicated/busy looking dial (as expected!) and my issue with the RG version, and the blued world time, was that there was just too much going on. It also doesn't have the latitude and longitude lines on the map which serves to clean up the dial for me a bit... HOWEVER, maybe this takes away from the functionality a bit also, as there is something cool about tracing Honolulu via the lines and seeing it on the map.
I'll be at Watches and Wonders this month, so hopefully can do a direct comparison in the flesh.
Thanks for the post

This new Patrimony will be unveiled at the next Watch and Wonders, in HK, in a few weeks. Well, new, not really, as a Patrimony World Time in platinum was offered at the 2013 Only Watch, but with a different dial. The piece unique: Now, the Excellence Pla...

As an owner of the rose gold version

of this watch, I am biased but I like my version better than this iteration. Throw out the rose gold preference as personal taste, but then I will defend the original model on the merits I think it has. One, I think the red lettering for the cities whose ...
I love it!

I have been waiting for a white metal version of this watch to come out. And here it is. I do hope that VC will issue a white gold version (no hope for steel), too. My opinion of this watch has not really changed since it was first launched. I still regar...
Respo, like your views. I loved the WT ever since

the minute it was launched. I live in a country that falls in a half time zone, so naturally I appreciate it more. To have 37 time zones (half and quarters) operated by a single crown is a technical tour de force. And the dial is so easy to understand. It...

timepieces to have half time zone. And so does Blancpain. Somehow I like the JLC Duometre UTT. I like the globe on the dial. I like watches which have a 'technical' aesthetic to them; which explains why I like may Langes and JLC's. Nicholas, I will vist t...
