I have been waiting for a white metal version of this watch to come out. And here it is. I do hope that VC will issue a white gold version (no hope for steel), too.

My opinion of this watch has not really changed since it was first launched. I still regard it as the best worldtimer on the market. Yes, I would not mind if it were just a tad smaller, but honestly the proportions work well (VC typically gets watch proportions just right, IMHO) and the dial needs to be of a decent size to contain all of the city names. I don't really find the dial any busier or less legible than other worldtimers -- that is just the nature of the beast when it comes to this particular complication. And in any case, for me while this is a practical and useful complication, the real raison d'etre for the worldtimer is the romance of travel and time across the globe.

The VC World Time is a technical tour de force. I am just in love with the fact that everything is set by the single crown and that even the half-hour timezones are included. There are many, many beautiful details in the design and execution of the VC World Time. I wish I could add one of these to my collection. I find this EP version to be exquisite looking, although I have no problem with the "normal" rose gold version. I hope to see the EP version in the metal at some point.
