in my opinion is still representative of one of the best metal dial combinations in the 5270 range, yes I own the same piece too and chose it for that very reason. I still don't get why people get so uptight regarding comparisons between it and the 5970, both should be enjoyed for what they represent, they are simply different solutions to the same end goal of chronograph/perpetual calendar offering. I say this is better, I say that it better, etc etc it's all but an OPINION at the end of the day and we are but a microcosm of PP enthusiasts here on the forum which some tend to forget. Lest I say many offering their opinion here won't have even handled or seen either model in the flesh, and if if either were to be laid in front of your eyes their heart would flutter over the prospect of owning either, looking at pictures is easy.
The 5970G in it's salmon dial guise, is a limited piece, and it's owners have a unique watch, people know this. The new 5270P with salmon dial is no copy or detriment to the 5970G in salmon, it's a DIFFERENT watch and people know this equally too, they stand alone as two differing variants for which both should be applauded. If PP release a limited one off 5270G (or any other metal) with green dial say in years to come using old cases, it'll be just as special as the 5970G in salmon imo and so on and so on. If a variant of that same green dial is than offered in successor to the 5270, it will be a DIFFERENT watch and there's my point!
